We talk A LOT about mental health here at NCFITNESS ~ because it hits very close to home for us. You guys know both Nick and myself, Carlie have used exercise and nutrition to improve and heal our mental health.

Exercise releases endorphins, which are natural feel-good chemicals in the brain. These endorphins help to reduce feelings of anxiety and improve mood.
2. Reduces tension:
Exercise can help to reduce tension in the muscles, which is often associated with anxiety. By releasing tension, exercise can help to reduce physical symptoms of anxiety such as muscle tension, headaches, and fatigue.
3. Improves sleep:
Regular exercise can help to improve the quality of sleep. Lack of sleep is often associated with increased anxiety, so by improving sleep, exercise can help to reduce feelings of anxiety.
4. Increases confidence:
Regular exercise can also help to increase confidence and self-esteem. This can be especially beneficial for people who struggle with anxiety and low self-esteem.

Exercise can be used as a personal therapy session to focus on connecting your mind and body, while also allowing your mind to explore your pain, traumas and everything holding you back - workouts are a very common place that our athletes find healing ✨
